Jason Horlock (AKA Monday Night Jason, Jacey Boy or Hoover) has been dancing for just over 3 years. He became interested in Le Bop after seeing a demonstration at Southbank and has been a regular at classes ever since. He has competed in competitions at Sydney and Melbourne and enjoys Team Routines the most.
He has competed as part of ‘Team Lovely’ in performances of Abba, Sparkling Diamonds, Charlie’s Angels and Joy.
In 2003 Jason joined the teachers’ group and now teaches “beginners” and “freestyle techniques” classes that allows more ‘one-on one tuition’ for beginners to Le Bop.
Jason is also part of the select group married Le Boppers. He and his wife Laura, met at Le Bop during 2003 and along with their daughter Avalon, dance at venues of Le Bop venues in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.
Reasons for going to Le Bop:
· To meet new people (re: Laura) and to be able to dance more than the Birdie Dance and Zorba the Greek.
Best things about Le Bop:
· Great people and great fun.
Strange Locations Jason has committed spontaneous Le Bopping:
· Deck of sailing boats
· Airport terminals & train stations
· Camp sites
· Top of the Harbour Bridge
